Richard is an experienced appellate attorney with appellate cases before the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals arising out of Orders from the Probate, State, Superior and Federal Courts of Georgia.
After high-school, Richard lived in Israel for nearly 5 years and was a combat solider with the Nakhal Mutznakh 50th Airborne Infantry Brigade of the Israeli Defense Forces.Received “most excellent soldier” commendations in basic and advanced training. Tried out for & accepted into Special Forces (declined invitation). Requested by superior officers to attend officer candidacy school and medic training (declined invitation). Obtained the rank of Sergeant upon Honorable Discharge (reserve duty stayed for residence abroad). After serving in the IDF, and while pursuing his undergraduate studies, Richard taught Hebrew and Drama to elementary and middle schoolers at Congregation Kol Ami in Salt Lake City, Utah. Richard has volunteered for humanitarian missions in Mali, Guatemala, Peru, Bolivia, Belize, Solomon Islands, and Nepal where he has assisted his mother, Rachel S. Benator, MD in eye examinations, treatment, surgery, and the provision of reading and prescription glasses.
